Speaker Adam Milano
Adam will speak about the stigma around getting mental health support in the armed forces, and how we can work to decrease the negative attitudes and barriers around getting help and support when needed. After speaking, the group will do 22 push ups to honor the 22 veterans lost to suicide each day and they will pledge to work to decrease this number. https://activeheroes.org/22pushups/. Students can also choose to fundraise and submit a video to the cause that raises awareness on this issue. Participants at this talk will receive a t-shirt as well for raising awareness for suicide prevention.
