Norwich University College of Graduate and Continuing Studies is pleased to host its annual Residency Conference as a virtual event on Monday, June 22nd through Friday, June 26th.
With the ongoing current global and domestic spread of the COVID-19 virus, the university made the difficult decision to move to a virtual conference because we could not be reasonably sure that conditions will improve sufficiently to safely bring our students and their guests and our faculty to campus. As many of them start to plan for the event, travel restrictions and group meeting requirements are becoming increasingly more restrictive.
Norwich University prides itself in being an organization that rises to meet a challenge. In fact, both the University’s tagline and theme for the 2020 Residency Conference is: "Expect Challenge, Achieve Distinction."
While the event is cancelled, the requirement remains unchanged. Instead, of attending on campus we are building a virtual capstone event during the same scheduled week. It will be comprised of live sessions, the keynote and Todd Lecture series event, interactive discussions, informative blog postings, pre-recorded professional development sessions and a few exciting Facebook Live events – including a CGCS staff Dog River Run!
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the virtual requirement for the 2020 Residency Conference, please email Megan Liptak, Residency Conference & Events Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
